For Lower Mainland bluegrassers and roots music lovers, it’s always an occasion when mandolin virtuoso John Reischman and his top-flight band the Jaybirds come to town.  The band feels the same way.  This part of the world is near and dear to its members.  Between tour stops this fall, John and the Jaybirds have been in the studio recording their fifth album of stellar original and traditional acoustic music.  They’ll be previewing the new songs for Jaybirds fans at Capilano University Performing Arts Theatre on Sunday November 8^th.  In addition, this concert will be recorded for an upcoming live cd release of the best of the best of the Jaybirds’ exciting live shows from Virginia to Vancouver.
